Malala Yousafzai under severe criticism by Pakistani people

Malala Yousafzai, made diplomatic comments on India-Pakistan tensions, Pakistani social media users blasted her extensively.

Many people have been offended by her remarks, which urged peace and international mediation without expressly mentioning India, as they see she did not take a firm position supporting Pakistan.

Malala Yousafzai said in a video message condolences for the victims on either side of the border, saying, “I want to share my condolences with the families of those who lost their lives from both countries.

The civilian deaths really break my heart. I deplore the death of innocent people and would like to point out that extremism is the universal foe of both countries.

I call upon worldwide mediators to come forward and support fostering Pakistani-Indian peace.

Although her remarks condemned violence and urged peace, many Pakistanis thought her tone too neutral and devoid of patriotism.

Social media users inundated sites with criticism, charging her with playing it safe to preserve her global reputation.

One user remarked, “Does anyone really care about your condemnation? Absolutely not.”

One other responded, “Really Malala? You’re that afraid to name India?”

Some wondered about her allegiance, asking, “Where is your patriotism? At least stand with the truth.”

Others charged her with being cut from her background.

One internet user commented, “She sounds like a spokesperson for a European agency.”

One more remark said, “She should sound like a Pakistani at least once.”
