A man in Mardan has been accused of murdering his wife and burying her in the washroom of their residence.
Following a period of ongoing discord between the couple, details of which remain undisclosed, the man purportedly committed the heinous act, concealing the crime by informing the woman’s family that she had absconded from their home.
Upon receiving a complaint from the woman’s father, the authorities initiated an investigation into her disappearance.
However, after five days of fruitless inquiries, the police conducted a search of the man’s premises, where they discovered the victim’s body buried in an under-construction washroom.
Before the discovery of the corpse, the primary suspect managed to evade capture, fleeing the scene. Nevertheless, two of his brothers have been apprehended in connection with the incident.
The couple, who had been married for five years, had experienced a tumultuous relationship. They were also parents to a three-year-old daughter.
