Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi has announced the implementation of an integrated and streamlined “one-window” quality assurance system to improve Pakistan’s cosmetics industry.
In a recent meeting minister met with a team from the cosmetics business, who asked him to talk about the problems, difficulties, and prospects for expansion in the field.
Taking on cosmetic industry, minister said that cosmetic industry have to follow certain regulations before launching the products in markets.
He emphasized that all cosmetics meant for human use will go through rigorous and thorough testing, underscoring the government’s commitment to encouraging exports and bringing product quality up to international norms.
In the meeting the delegation cited export restrictions, testing delays, and a lack of standardization as the main issues impeding the growth of the sector. They demanded quick changes to boost the industry’s competitiveness domestically and internationally.
Khalid Magsi underlined the necessity of efficient cooperation between governmental institutions and industry stakeholders while assuring the delegation of the full support of the government.
“With better policies, regulatory oversight, and stronger industry links, Pakistani cosmetic products can be showcased globally, showcasing their great potential,” he said.
He went on to say that in order to guarantee the expansion and international recognition of the regional cosmetics industry, the Ministry of Science and Technology would strengthen its involvement in research and development, policymaking, and industry facilitation.
