Interior Minister Naqvi underscored Pakistan’s significant contribution to the Iran-Israel ceasefire, crediting the Prime Minister’s pivotal role and the military establishment’s crucial support.
Pakistan should be proud of this development, he continued.
Mohsin Naqvi also disclosed that, thankfully, no damage or casualties were caused when India fired about 11 missiles at a Pakistani base in May that had Pakistani personnel and aircraft present.
“The army chief had sent a clear message to India, warning that if an attack were carried out, India would face far greater consequences in return,” Mohsin Naqvi said. He made it clear that Pakistan has no intention of inciting conflict or causing harm to any Indian national.
During the Islamic month of Muharram, he made these statements at a crucial gathering with religious scholars about peace and security.
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Minister of State for the Interior Talal Chaudhry, and other important religious leaders attended the meeting.
Under the theme “Do not abandon your sect, nor provoke anyone else’s,” the interior minister emphasized the significance of fostering harmony during Muharram. He called on academics to do their part to promote harmony during the holy month.
Meetings with academics in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be organized, especially in areas impacted by terrorism, Mohsin Naqvi said, expressing concern over the growing wave of terrorism. He claimed that local communities must cease aiding terrorists if terrorism is to be eradicated.
