Mukul Dev death: Former Indian model and actor Mukul Dev, famous character of ‘Son of Sardaar’ has passed away at the age of 54.
After the Mukul Dev death news made rounds, his brother Rahul Dev confirmed the news in an official statement.
Taking to his Instagram account, Rahul shared that Mukul passed away last night in New Delhi. He is survived by a daughter, a brother, and a nephew. His last rites will be performed today at 5 PM.
However, no details have been shared regarding the cause of death.
Mukul Dev was known for his dynamic performances in Hindi, Punjabi and South Indian films, as well as in television dramas.
According to media reports, fellow actor Actor Vindu Dara Singh paid tribute on social media, writing: “The time spent with you will always be unforgettable. Son of Sardaar 2 will remain your last project, and your role in it is sure to bring smiles and laughter to audiences.”
Vindu also told the media that after the passing of his parents, Mukul struggled to cope emotionally. Recently, his health had deteriorated, and he was hospitalized. “I offer my condolences to his family. Mukul will always be remembered,” he added.
Mukul brother, Rahul Dev’s longtime partner, actress Mugdha Godse, also shared the statement and asked for privacy for the family during this difficult time.
As news of Mukul’s sudden passing spread, heartfelt tributes poured in from across the film and television industry. Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who had worked with Mukul in Dastak, expressed his sorrow on X.
“It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss,” he wrote.
