Known Pakistani host and actress Nadia Khan has reacted against the negative receptions of her apparently contradicting comments as she attacked actress Hania Aamir who has been cast in the Indian movie Sardaar Ji 3, whereas she has also praised Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh.
In a video on her Instagram, Nadia explained that she is still in the same opinion. Some are saying that Nadia has made a U-turn. To begin with, I stated that, “Hania and other actors should not take part in Indian films. My current position is still the same as ever. He or she should not be in the place where he or she is not respected. There they abused our artists.”
She clarified that Pakistani celebrities are already having great fame and fan followers, and they do not need the approval of the Indian entertainment industry.
She remembered the other times when Pakistani actors such as Mahira Khan and Mawra Hocane were dropped out of Indian assignments because of the political differences between the two nations.
Talking about her view regarding Sardaar Ji 3, she said:
“Amid this chaotic situation and backlash, Diljit Dosanjh stood firm and released the film. He decided that he will not remove the Pakistani actress from the film and released it worldwide except India. I was so impressed and happy and I thought that Pakistanis should respect and welcome him. This was my stance.”
In a previous episode, Nadia criticized celebrities and influencers who remained silent on India-Pakistan tensions fearing that doing otherwise would mean putting their social media following, and the number of people subscribing to their YouTube channels, in jeopardy.
She once again made it clear that she is not out to attack someone but criticize by rules as she tells Pakistani stars to shake hands with their country and not with other countries.
