With the growing frenzy over Sardaar Ji 3, Indian actress Neeru Bajwa has stopped following her Pakistani co-star Hania Aamir on Instagram and cleared all promotional materials of the film on her social media accounts.
It is a day prior to the film release in other countries and this action is in response to public outrey over the casting of the Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in a lead role, more particularly after the terror attack in Pahalgam.
As Diljit Dosanjh, another actress in the film, keeps promoting it, many have criticized his lack of voice on the controversy.
In her recent Instagram postings, there is no evidence of Neeru talking or mentioning Sardaar Ji 3. Rather, her latest update contains the promo of her next cinematic work Son of Sardaar 2.
The snub has not passed unnoticed, with users on social media mercilessly slamming her and going to her defense. As it was put by one commenter, this is a courageous move by Neeru. Respect to her and another frame commented that she is getting a lot of hate on the Pakis and Diljit fans!
In Sardar Ji 3 (director Amar Hundal) a horror-comedy we see ghost hunters Diljit and Hania venture into the spirits of a haunted house of England.
Although it was cleared to be screened in Pakistan, the film is not going to be shown in India.
