United Arab Emirates (UAE) is going to see a job boom in current year of 2025 as its friendly policies have increased tourism industry and other business activities.
The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) announced the projection in its annual Economic Impact Report (EIR).
The report highlights that the travel and tourism industry will generate strong job growth this year, potentially creating thousands of new positions, as the UAE ranks among the world’s safest destinations for tourism and investment. Moreover, reports indicate that the UAE travel and tourism sectors will generate over 925,000 jobs by the end of 2025.
Furthermore, the report captures the UAE’s robust rebound and future-looking development strategy, forecasting international spending by visitors to hit AED 228.5 billion by 2025 — a 37% growth over the pre-pandemic high of 2019.
Experts project that the travel and tourism industry will contribute AED 267.5 billion to the UAE’s economy in 2025. Consequently, this will make up around 13% of the country’s GDP — highlighting the UAE’s growing status as a global tourism and investment hub.
WTTC is the sole international organization to represent the Travel & Tourism private sector and its many industries.
Members of the Council are the Chairmen or Chief Executives of major international Travel & Tourism businesses. In addition, they represent geographies and industries worldwide, including hotels, airlines, airports, tour operators, cruises, car rentals, travel agents, and rail. As a result, this diverse representation allows them to present a united voice to governments and international organizations.
