Lahore is gearing up to host a thrilling T20 showdown as Pakistan and Bangladesh lock horns in the first of a three-match series starting tonight.
The cricket series, featuring all its fixtures at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, kicks off under the lights at 8 PM. The next two matches are scheduled for May 30 and June 1, with the same venue and time slot set for each encounter.
Excitement began building earlier in the week when the trophy was revealed on Tuesday, followed by high-energy training sessions from both squads. Sharing his thoughts ahead of the match, Pakistan’s skipper Salman Ali Agha noted that final decisions on the lineup would be made collaboratively with the coaching staff. He emphasized the competitive nature of global cricket and acknowledged Bangladesh as a formidable opponent.
Bangladesh’s captain Liton Das, exuding confidence, stated his side is capable of taking down any team if they perform at their best.
This series marks another chapter in the cricketing rivalry between the two nations. The last time Bangladesh visited Pakistan in 2020, the hosts dominated by winning three out of four matches, with one game lost to weather conditions.
