Pakistan Day parade: On the eve of Pakistan Day on Sunday, a thrilling aerial display by PAF fighter jets stole the spotlight at the national parade.
A thrilling fly-past featuring different formations including Sherdil, Mirage, F-16, JF-17 Thunder, and J-10C aircraft demonstrated the prowess of Pakistan Airforce.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari was special guest on the Day.
He inspected the parade and acknowledged the military for such outstanding show.
He was saluted by military personnels present there.
Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, Defense Ministry and services chiefs were also present there and witnessed the parade.
In federal capital Islamabad the day started with 31-gun salute while in Provincial capitals the day started with 21-gun salute.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed their dedication to build a stronger, thriving and prosperous Pakistan in their Pakistan day messages.
President Asif called for unity and urged Pakistanis to put aside differences, rejecting hate and intolerance.
He urged to work together for an inclusive and just society.
Prime Minister in his message highlighted that Pakistan Day marks a historic milestone in lives of South Asian Muslims.
He said that by implementing the right policies, making dedicated efforts, and fostering national unity, Pakistan can excel it’s towards economic growth and international recognition
