Norway has now excluded Pakistan from its National Threat Assessment List, a publication by the country’s Police Security Service.
Pakistan has been facing significant hurdles ever since being part of this list, especially for Pakistani students and researchers wishing to pursue studies or careers in Norway.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), this decision followed active diplomatic efforts from Islamabad, urging Norwegian authorities to remove Pakistan from their roster of nations considered as “security concerns.”
“Pakistan’s diplomatic endeavors yielded results, leading to its removal from the list,” stated the report.
The announcement came via the most recent report released by Norway’s Police Security Service, which oversees intelligence and security affairs within the nation.
The terror threat assessment is a pivotal document identifying potential threats to Norway’s national security, encompassing espionage, proliferation, terrorism, and risks to government officials.
