Pakistan’s cricket team will head to Bangladesh next month for a three-match T20 series, with arrival in Dhaka expected on July 18, according to insiders familiar with the schedule.

Preliminary fixtures—currently under review—suggest games will be held on July 20, 22, and 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Though this tour does not feature in the ICC’s official Future Tours Programme (FTP), it was greenlit after discussions between cricket board officials from both nations, held during ICC Champions Trophy preparation meetings.

Following their stint in Bangladesh, the national squad is scheduled to travel to the Caribbean and North America, where they will play another T20I series against the West Indies beginning July 31, followed by an ODI series.

Meanwhile, on the home front, Pakistan’s cricketers have been in commanding form against Bangladesh. After clinching the second T20 at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, the team has already secured the series with a 2-0 lead.

In the second match, Pakistan chose to bat first after winning the toss.

Despite losing Saim Ayub early, a 103-run second-wicket stand between Mohammad Haris (41 off 25 balls) and Sahibzada Farhan (74 off 41) set the tone.

Farhan’s explosive knock featured four boundaries and six towering sixes. Contributions from Salman Ali Agha (19 off 12) and an unbeaten 51 from Hasan Nawaz pushed the total to 201 for 6 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh came out swinging, reaching 38 runs within the first three overs, led by a brisk 33-run effort from Tanzid Hasan. However, the momentum soon shifted.

Tight spells from Haris Rauf and Faheem Ashraf dismantled the middle order, with the visitors collapsing to 77 for 7 within ten overs.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib provided resistance with a spirited 50 from 31 deliveries, hitting five sixes, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup. Bangladesh was eventually dismissed for 144 in 19 overs.

It was a collective bowling triumph for the hosts. Abrar Ahmed stood out with figures of 3 for 19, while Haris Rauf, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, and Saim Ayub each chipped in with a wicket.

The third and final T20 will take place in Lahore this Sunday, where Pakistan will look to seal a comprehensive whitewash with a 3-0 series result.
