Pakistan successfully won Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025, beating Maldives by 60-35 in Jeonju, South Korea. Pakistan did not lose any match in the tournament.
Chairperson of Pakistan Netball Federation, Mudassir Arian and President, Sameen Malik and secretary general, Muhammad Riaz have congratulated the Pakistan team.
Previously, the Pakistanis overpowered Japan in the semis of the Asian Youth Girls Netball Championship 2025 leading 64-39 at Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium to reach the final.
This team kept its undefeated run which was the sixth victory in a row in the championship. Pakistan really seized the lead since they were on the recorded score of 21-7 by the quarters end, 34-19 on halftime and up to the finishing of the third quarter, which was 42-28 prior to the final score.
The best players were Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Sumayya Kouser, Haleema, Jasmine Farooq, Amani, Parisa, and Farah Rasheed who played a good defence as well as attack.
The Asian Netball Federation organized the championship, featuring eleven teams divided into two groups.
Members in Group A are Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong and India whereas Group B consists of Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
