Pakistan’s men’s cricket team’s schedule for the next series against Bangladesh is officially announced, where Salman Ali Agha’s side will host a three-game T20I series, another pivotal task in their preparations ahead of next year’s T20 World Cup.
The schedule has been approved by the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Thursday, and it is expected that all the matches will be staged in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Pakistan is set to tour Bangladesh as per the schedule and will reach the Bangladesh capital on 16 July with the first T20 match to be staged on Sunday 20 July.
Game numbers two and three will be played on 22 July Tuesday and 24 July Thursday respectively. All the three games are set to kick off at 6 PM local time.
It will be the initial instance that Pakistan tours Bangladesh for a bilateral series since 2021. The last time these two sides had met in Lahore earlier in the year this year; Pakistan had played a sweeping victory and won all three T20Is at Gaddafi Stadium.
Pakistan vs Bangladesh T20I Series Schedule:
Date | Match | Venue | Time (Local) |
---|---|---|---|
20 July | 1st T20I | Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium | 6:00 PM |
22 July | 2nd T20I | Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium | 6:00 PM |
24 July | 3rd T20I | Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium | 6:00 PM |
The series is happening at a time when both sides are reorganizing their teams and approaches with the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be held in India and Sri Lanka, in their minds.
For Pakistan, it is their first overseas assignment since their new coach Mike Hesson took charge. The three-test series will give the PCB’s new selection committee and coaching team a forum to judge emerging talent as they seek to get the balance between experience and youth just right.
With familiar subcontinent conditions and an ardent home crowd certain to await them in Dhaka, the Bangladesh series promises to put Pakistan’s temperament and tactical adaptability—attributes that will serve them well in the months to come—under the spotlight.
