Government of Pakistan has issued a travel advisory for the citizens to avoid non-essential visit to Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria due to the increasing tensions amid Iran-Israel conflict.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement advising Pakistani people residing in certain countries to exercise great vigilance. The advisory also motivated the citizens to restrict their movements across these regions and avoid any unessential internal travel.
The directive also stressed that people were advised to remain in close touch with the closest Pakistani embassies in order to have news and prompt support service in real time.
The travel warning is an indication of the worsened security in the region, especially after the recent military conflict between Iran and Israel that have been affecting various countries, especially in the Middle East.
In a statement, the Foreign Office explained that the advisory is a precautionary action aimed at the safety and well being of the Pakistani nationals at the affected regions due to the volatile security condition.
The second week of air battle between Israel and Iran has prompted European leaders to voice forth a fresh round of talks with Tehran. In the meantime, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, declared that he would make decisions on whether the U.S. will take any military action within two weeks or so.
The tensions were spark off when Israel used last Friday to strike against Iran on the pretext of preventing Iran to obtain nuclear weaponry. As an answer, Iran shot back with attacks using missiles and drones, but continued to insist that its nuclear program is peaceful.
The same population has taken a toll of 639 deaths based upon the Human rights Activists news agency, because these deaths are in Iran, because of the Israeli airstrikes which included high ranking military officials and nuclear scientists. Conversely, Israel has reported the killing of at least two dozen civilians who were killed during missile attacks by Iranians.
