The trip to Russia is a component of a larger diplomatic outreach that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif started.
As part of this outreach, a multi-party delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and a former foreign minister, has been sent to Western capitals, including New York, Washington, D.C., London, and Brussels.
Mr. Fatemi’s delegation will meet with top Russian officials, think tanks, and media representatives to emphasize Pakistan’s “responsible and peaceful stance” in contrast to India’s “irresponsible and aggressive actions”.
