Pakistan’s participation in the FIH Pro League is contingent upon the allocation of funds for the national hockey team.
According to sources on Thursday, the Green Shirts will take part in the massive event if the current administration approves the funding allocation.
As directed by Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah’s adviser, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has begun to investigate the situation.
It is important to remember that the International Hockey Federation has set a three-day deadline for Pakistan to confirm their participation in the upcoming event.
The secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), however, stated that “the costs for guaranteeing participation at the FIH Pro League are too much.”
In this respect, he hoped the premier would assist the federation.
