PCB announces latest update on PSL 10 matches

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday confirmed that it would organize the last few matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025, including the play-offs, in Pakistan.

Sources also confirmed that both sides are negotiating the final calendar, considering May 16-18 as the likely dates to resume the tournament.

The PCB and PSL franchises held negotiations to ensure that the remaining eight games, including the decisive play-off round, take place on home soil.

Although the PCB has yet to finalize the nitty-gritty details of the fixture list, it has guaranteed that the rest of the games will be held in the coming weeks.

Sources further reported that the PCB is in negotiations with domestic and foreign players to seal their involvement in the remaining matches.

Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB has announced indefinite postponement of the remaining matches of HBL Pakistan Super League PSL X due to escalating regional tensions and security concerns.

The PCB had declared earlier in the day that the UAE would host the final eight HBL PSL X games.

However, a PCB statement said that the league has now been indefinitely postponed due to the worsening situation with India.

The board described India’s activities as “reckless aggression” and said the decision was made in the midst of an increase in fighting along the Line of Control (LoC).

This included the intrusion of 77 Indian drones and the firing of surface-to-surface missiles.

“Cricket must take a respectful pause in such times, even though it brings joy and unites people,” the PCB stated in its statement.

In addition, PCB expressed gratitude to all HBL PSL stakeholders including franchises, players, sponsors, broadcasters, and fans for their understanding and ongoing support.

The board also expressed solidarity with the families of security professionals and those who lost their lives.
