The federal government has revised petroleum prices in Pakistan, announcing a notable increase that will take effect from June 16 for the upcoming fortnight.
According to the latest notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, petrol will now cost Rs258.43 per litre after a Rs4.80 increase, while high-speed diesel has seen a Rs7.95 hike, bringing its new price to Rs262.59 per litre.
This marks the second upward revision in petroleum prices within a month. On May 31, petrol prices were raised by Re1 per litre, reaching Rs253.63.
The Finance Division has formally released the updated petroleum price list, which will remain applicable until the next review.
The consistent rise in petroleum prices in Pakistan is expected to impact transportation costs, inflation, and the overall economic outlook.
