Approximately 5,000 Zaireens from Pakistan are currently in Iran: FO
According to authorities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are currently about 5,000 Pakistani Zaireens in Iran. The sources also noted that there are regular fluctuations in the number of pilgrims visiting Iran.
According to the reports, the majority of Zaireans do not stay in touch with Pakistani diplomatic offices while they are in Iran, which presents difficulties during emergencies.
The Foreign Office has recommended Pakistani nationals to reevaluate their trip plans to Iran and Iraq in light of the current circumstances. The Pakistani Consulates and Embassy in Tehran are open and ready to help any citizens who require assistance.
