Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the nuclear path of Pakistan and demanded a new spirit of unity and resolve to make Pakistan an economic power.

Thanking Allah Almighty in his Youm-e-Takbeer message, the Prime Minister congratulated the people of Pakistan, stating, “Today on Youm-e-Takbeer, I thank Allah Almighty and congratulate from the core of my heart the whole nation and all patriotic Pakistanis.

Demarking 27 years since Pakistan became the world’s seventh nuclear power and the first Muslim nation to achieve this status, PM Sharif emphasized that Youm-e-Takbeer was not just a celebration but also a sacred reminder of Pakistan’s determination to defend its sovereignty.

The Prime Minister associated this year’s celebration with what he has termed Pakistan’s recent achievement in successfully defending itself against “an unjustified war foisted by India.” He praised the nation’s morale in the May 6–10 standoff, saying, “The joys of Youm-e-Takbeer have further increased for a nation filled with victory.

Looking back on the historic May 28, 1998 nuclear tests at the behest of the then-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Prime Minister declared that the move to fire six nuclear tests, as opposed to India’s five, was a show of “iron resolve” against worldwide pressure and sanctions.

“Mr. Nawaz Sharif embodied the hopes and national aspirations of the nation as a whole… and rendered our geographical frontiers impenetrable for all eternity,” he maintained.

Equating the saga of Pakistan’s nuclear journey with the creation of Pakistan, he evoked the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and declared, “National history is a witness that the people and political leadership of Pakistan have always made the impossible possible.”

PM Shehbaz called the country to take the Youm-e-Takbeer spirit beyond defense to economic revolution.
