PM Shehbaz, Interior Minister Naqvi vow action after Swabi attack

PM Shehbaz and Minister Mohsin Naqvi has strongly denounced deadly Swabi attack that killed two police officers.

Police confirmed that two police officers were killed in a late-night shooting in Swabi on Friday when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them.

The IDS Police Station’s boundaries were the site of the attack. Driver Zahid and Constable Jamal Din were immediately killed.

Before the police arrived, the attackers fled the scene. Later, the bodies were transferred to a nearby medical facility.

Shehbaz expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the fallen officers and offered prayers for them in a press release issued by the PM Office Media Wing.

He directed authorities to bring the attackers to justice with “exemplary punishment” and ordered a comprehensive investigation into the attack.

 

He declared, “We will keep fighting terrorism until this threat is totally eliminated from the nation.”

 

The police force’s tenacious efforts to defend the country were also commended by the prime minister.

He declared, “We are proud of our police officers who are thwarting terrorists’ evil plans against our dear nation.”

Separately, Interior Minister Naqvi honored the officers Zahid and Jamaluddin who died while performing their duties.

The minister expressed profound sympathy and condolences, saying, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with the grieving families.”
