“Our youth are Pakistan’s most valuable asset,” the prime minister stated, highlighting the significance of a contemporary and sustainable ICT ecosystem.
In order to enable them to find fulfilling work and support the national economy, we must provide them with advanced IT education.
Also, the PM presented a thorough plan to update IT training nationwide during the meeting, which was attended by federal ministers Ahad Cheema, Shaza Fatima, Rana Mashhood, and HEC Chairman Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed.
Important instructions from the PM:
- Universities, colleges, and schools will begin offering modern IT instruction.
- To guarantee a smooth implementation, cooperation between the Ministry of IT, Ministry of Education, HEC, and NAVTTC/Neotech is required.
- Summer IT camps are being launched during school breaks in an effort to effectively engage students.
- Every training module should have explicit guidelines, rules, and deadlines.
- In order for local businesses to compete internationally and generate foreign exchange, training programs must adhere to international standards and market demand.
Moreover, According to PM Sharif, Pakistan can meet global outsourcing demands by developing a skilled IT workforce, which will draw investment and boost technology sector exports.
“Our objective is to equip young people for the digital future and establish Pakistan as the region’s IT center,” Shehbaz said, calling on all pertinent departments to guarantee the prompt and efficient implementation of the suggested projects.
