In his call to Qatar’s Ambassador Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, PM Shehbaz was deeply concerned about the recent Iranian missile attack on a US military base in Qatar.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the imperative of easing tensions and conveyed Pakistan’s strong solidarity with the Qatari government and people. The Qatari representative appreciated the Prime Minister’s early contact and support at this juncture.
During another talk with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to pursue all diplomatic channels to establish peace in the Middle East.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan must continue to be close to Saudi leadership and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening trilateral cooperation between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar for regional stability.
Furthermore, the Saudi ambassador welcomed Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts and agreed on the need for coordinated efforts to maintain peace in the region. These talks are happening against the backdrop of rising regional tensions after Iran’s missile attack on a US base in Qatar, triggering global concern.
