Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to express gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support in the recent South Asian crisis.
The Prime Minister thanked President Aliyev for his consistent support, describing it as a demonstration of the Azerbaijani leader’s great love and firm affection for the people of Pakistan.
He also conveyed warm gratitude to the brotherly country of Azerbaijan for its support of Pakistan at this trying time.
The Prime Minister informed President Aliyev that Pakistan had agreed to a ceasefire deal with India in the spirit of regional harmony and reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to upholding the ceasefire.
He pointed out that Pakistan and Azerbaijan have a long-standing and sustainable friendship because the two nations have always stood like brothers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also officially invited President Aliyev to Pakistan, which the Azerbaijani president accepted with pleasure.
President Aliyev congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz on Pakistan’s remarkable achievement and valued Pakistan’s efforts towards peace, particularly its determination to prolong the ceasefire.
He conveyed Azerbaijan’s keen interest in developing relations with Pakistan.
