The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has officially extended the deadline for submitting applications under the PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2025.
Under PM youth laptop scheme 100,000 laptops will be distributed to high-achieving students enrolled in public sector universities.
As per the laptop program update, the application submission deadline has extended to allow more eligible students to submit their applications. The new deadline is June 1, 2025, replacing the earlier cut-off date of May 20.
As per the laptop scheme details, students must be enrolled in HEC recognized public universities and currently pursuing PhD, MS/MPhil, Master’s, or Bachelor’s programs. Applicants must meet academic performance standards—a minimum of 2.80 CGPA or 60% marks. First-year undergraduates need to submit their HSSC (intermediate) results, while first-semester MS/PhD students must provide transcripts of their previous qualifications.
Quota Allocation
To ensure equitable access, a quota system has been established:
-
18% of the laptops are reserved for students from Balochistan.
-
5% are allocated to distance learning students—divided equally between Virtual University and Allama Iqbal Open University.
Only students currently enrolled are eligible. Those who have graduated, even if they applied while studying, will not be considered.
Applications can be submitted through the Prime Minister’s Digital Youth Hub (DYH) App or via the official website: www.pmyp.gov.pk, which is now open for registration.
Additionally, the government has finalized the selection of 39,891 students for Phase 1 under the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025.
According to the CM laptop program updates all selected students will receive their laptops in the coming days. The laptop distribution dates will be announced soon as the selection process is completed
