In an unusual incident, a local resident’s naswar (snuff) worth Rs300 has been stolen in Rawalpindi’s Dhok Banaras area.
A formal first information report (FIR) was filed at the Race Course police station as a result of the incident.
Police officials claim that the victim called emergency helpline 15 to report that ten packets of naswar, worth a total of Rs300, had been taken from him.
Police officers responded quickly to the citizen’s call, arrived on the scene, and started the legal process. A theft case has been filed, and an investigation is being conducted to find and apprehend the offender.
Authorities said they are confident the thief will be caught soon and confirmed that a search is still underway for the suspect.
