Politically agitated climate is likely to prevail in the country after Eid-ul-Fitr. The reason behind this is the announcement of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The main opposition party of Pakistan—the PTI—has announced countrywide strikes in alliance with Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) and other of its allied political parties after Eid.
Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly along with Asad Qaiser has announced this on Friday. The party is also going to hold a number of meetings with leadership of its allied parties on April 12, 2024. The PTI will arrange rallies and processions in different parts of the country, starting protest movement from Quetta -Baluchistan.
The party leaders also disclosed that PTI’s founding Chairman has directed them to fully support judiciary and join hands with lawyers’ community to support independence of judiciary and rule of law in Pakistan. They said adding that following the IHC judges’ letter, the PTI will go to any for the independence of judiciary. Earlier, Ali Muhammad Khan of PTI has said that Imran Khan has directed to come out of homes as the letter of judges is a clear proof of his false conviction. The PTI leaders have also said that PTI in this regard will announce its program that what more it is going to do to surprise those against judiciary.
Meanwhile it was learnt that PTI following this matter and its difference with the government over election mandate is forming an apex committee mandated to decide all decisions of the party.
It will devise policies of the party and will also work upper the core committee of PTI. All decisions of this apex committee will stand final and mandatory after approval from Imran Khan. The apex committee will give final shape to the decisions of the party’s core committee.
The members of this committee include Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Asad Qaiser, Sher Afzal Marwat, Shibli Faraz, Umer Ayub, Hammad Azhar, Hafiz Farhat, Khalid Khursheed and Aun Abbass.
