Prefer to die in jail rather than bowing before tyrant: Imran Khan
TwitterFacebook

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, has stated that he is being told how dare he stand up against the powerful. He made it clear that he would die in jail but would not accept the slavery of the tyrant of the time.

He said this during an informal conversation with journalists in Adiala Jail. Imran Khan mentioned that Pakistan has faced a disaster in cricket, and Mohsin Naqvi’s name hasn’t been hidden in the newspapers.

“Our country is being mocked worldwide; Bangladesh has beaten us. Those who have been brought to the top and are eager to become the Chairman of the PCB have billions of dollars abroad,” said Imran Khan.

He said he is telling today that the country is heading towards a revolution. They should have woken up from the silent revolution of February 8. The decision-makers have no sense; they have never seen more foolish decisions. To teach him a lesson, Bushra Bibi has been kept in jail for 7 months. He is being told how dare he stand up against the powerful? They are asking why he stood up to the cipher. He made it clear that he would die in jail but would not accept the slavery of the tyrant of the time.

If PTI weren’t in KP, there would be a crisis as severe as in Balochistan

Imran Khan said that he has never seen such oppression as is happening today. The crisis in Balochistan is increasing. If PTI weren’t in KP, there would be as much crisis there as well. The solution is not with sticks and guns; the solution is to let their elected representatives come forward.

Imran Khan said that the problems have worsened with the appointment of puppets in Balochistan. The situation is getting out of hand. Akhtar Mengal is absolutely right; it is becoming very dangerous. The solution is to hold local body elections there. The money from the NFC award for Balochistan does not reach the lower levels; there is poverty there. There is a need for genuine local body elections across the country.

If TTP is due to us, then who is the reason for BLA in Balochistan?

The PTI founder stated that there is a need for dialogue in the country at present. He questioned that if TTP is their fault, then who is responsible for BLA in Balochistan? To end terrorism, there are three dimensions: intelligence, dialogue, and then operation.

The operations have been ongoing since 2004 to end terrorism; how much difference has it made? Secret agencies have been deployed to eliminate the country’s major party, PTI.

The job of intelligence agencies is to eliminate terrorism, not to eliminate political parties.

Earlier, the journalists protested before Imran Khan at the beginning of the conversation, saying that they had been providing fair reporting for a year, but his sister Aleema Khan accused that reporters from three private TV channels are connected with the agencies. They asked him to give a policy statement on whether he trusts them.

Imran Khan assured the journalists in response to the protest that he would ask Aleema Khan about her statement. He said that he trusts all three of them and that they are all working hard.
