Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that the government aims to finalize the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the Roosevelt Hotel in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget.
“Policies and regulatory reforms will be advanced for the privatization of key assets like Discos and Gencos,” the finance czar stated in his budget speech.
To lessen the load on taxpayers, fundamental changes to the government are necessary.
“In business matters, the leadership of the country should be provided by the private sector, not the government,” Aurangzeb stated.
Aurangzeb stated: “The cabinet has approved the right-sizing of 10 ministries and six divisions have been merged to form 3.”
