KARACHI: Share prices plunged heavily on the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday due to overall selling by the investors.
The market witnessed another bearish session with the benchmark 100-share index nose-diving by 2,371 points taking down the index to 62,833 at the end of the day.
Stocks in exploration and production, fertiliser and banking sectors contributed to the decline in the shares index.
The benchmark index of the stock market, which had lost 925.35 points the previous day after investors resorted to profit-taking, had shed 1224.23 points in the first trading session on Tuesday.
