The public transporters have reduced the fares up to 1.5 per cent after decrease in the prices of the petroleum products.
The major decrease is in the one-way fare from Lahore to Karachi, which has been lowered by Rs190, bringing it down from Rs7,720 to Rs7,530.
The fare from Lahore to Hyderabad has been reduced by Rs180, and the fare to Moro has decreased by Rs160. The fare from Lahore to Hyderabad is now Rs6,950 rupees, down from Rs7,130 while the fare to Moro is now Rs6,200, reduced from Rs6,360.
Additionally, the fare from Lahore to Rawalpindi has been lowered from Rs2,540 to Rs2,520 while the fare to Peshawar is now Rs2,620 down from Rs2,670. The fare to Multan has decreased from Rs2,030 to Rs1,960, and the fare to Abbottabad is now Rs2,560, down from Rs2,610.
Sources said that the fare from Lahore to Bhakkar has been reduced from Rs2,290 to Rs2,270, the fare to Faisalabad from Rs1,170 to Rs1,140, the fare to Mian Channu from Rs1,260 to Rs1,220, and the fare to Swat from Rs2,860 to Rs2,820.
Furthermore, the fare from Lahore to Sukkur has been lowered from Rs4,880 to Rs4,760, the fare to Muzaffargarh from Rs2,120 to Rs2,050, and the fare from Lahore to Khanpur from Rs3,140 to Rs3,040.
