The Punjab Assembly has approved budgetary demands totaling more than Rs. 509.71 billion, which span 38 key departments and sectors.
Over Rs85.46 billion has been allocated for housing and physical planning, Rs46 billion for police services, Rs40 billion for general administration, Rs16 billion for healthcare services, Rs13 billion for public health, and Rs4 billion for agricultural development.
A total of Rs2.20 billion, Rs12.86 billion, and Rs3.36 billion have been allocated for land reclamation and irrigation, public relief projects, and subsidies, respectively.
The Punjab Assembly also approved funding for the Forest Department, motor vehicle laws, industries, veterinary care, fisheries, the legal system, and prison services.
