A serious criminal case has been filed against five individuals, including prominent YouTubers Rajab Butt and Maan Dogar, at Lahore’s Nawab Town police station, over allegations of rape, blackmail, and illegal confinement made by a female social media activist.
The woman says she made acquainted with Salman Haider, a relative of Rajab Butt, on social media, according to the first information report (FIR).
She claims that Salman recorded pornographic recordings, drugged and sexually assaulted her, and then used the images to blackmail her.
The accuser further claimed that she was detained against her will in a room inside Salman Butt’s house after being locked there by YouTuber Rajab Butt.
It has also been stated that Maan Dogar and other colleagues were there and involved in her unlawful detention.
Police verified that a FIR has been filed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code and that an investigation is presently underway to ascertain the degree of each accused person’s involvement and to confirm the facts.
