To ensure uninterrupted emergency response during the Eid-ul-Azha break, Rescue 1122 has suspended staff leaves and activated a detailed emergency operations plan.
A recent strategy meeting—chaired by District Emergency Officer Engineer Fasihullah—brought together station supervisors and department heads to finalize preparedness measures for the holiday period.
As per the district rescue service spokesperson, multiple emergency units have been assigned to work round-the-clock during the festive days.
These units will be stationed across key locations to handle any unforeseen situation without delay.
Ambulances, fire trucks, and motorbike rescue units will be positioned near prominent Eid prayer venues to provide on-the-spot assistance if needed.
Additionally, water rescue teams will be patrolling high-risk spots including the Indus River, CRBC Canal, and Bhakkar Road Lake, with the aim of minimizing the risk of drowning accidents.
Residents have been advised to reach out via the emergency helpline 1122, or use the alternate contact number 0966-715166 in case of any urgent incident.
