In an emergency interview on Bloomberg Talks (June 17), Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s former Shah, stated Iran’s Islamic Republic is “on the verge of collapse” in the midst of the growing Israel‑Iran war.

Exiled crown prince Reza Pahlavi assured Iranians that Iran will not face chaos after the Islamic Republic’s fall, amid rising tensions with Israel.
Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s late shah, has also called for regime change in Tehran, saying that it’s time for Iranians to “reclaim Iran.”
Amid increased tensions with Israel, he fiercely criticized Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, accusing him of having “gone into hiding underground” and losing control of the country.
Furthermore, Pahlavi labeled the situation as “irreversible.”
The Islamic Republic has reached its end and is collapsing. What has started is irreversible. The future is bright, and together we will turn the page of history he wrote in a message on X, posting a video that underscored the regime’s collapse and the disappearance of Khamenei.
Additionally, at the video, Pahlavi spoke about his previous endeavors to avert war in Iran, “The end of Islamic Republic is the end of 46-year-war against the Iranian nation.”
“Today is the day to stand up; the day to take back Iran. Let us all rise up—from Bandar Abbas to Bandar Anzali, from Shiraz to Isfahan, from Tabriz to Zahedan, from Mashhad to Ahvaz, from Shahr-e Kord to Kermanshah—and mark the end of this regime,” Pahalvi stated.
He ended on a note of optimism: “A free and prosperous Iran awaits us. May we be together soon.”
