Sahar Hashmi, currently seen as Riya in the widely watched serial Mann Mast Malang, has become a topic of conversation—not just for her performance, but for her light-hearted take on the show’s themes and co-star.
Despite the drama’s high ratings and steamy plotlines, it hasn’t escaped online criticism, especially after Sahar’s recent statements during an interview gained traction.
Describing her first impression of the script, Sahar said she instantly found it engaging after reading a few episodes. “I thought it was delicious,” she joked, noting how veteran actress Saba Hameed had humorously likened the drama to “chaat with 14 spices” due to its layered storytelling.
Talking about her on-screen chemistry with Danish Taimoor, Sahar admitted that filming intimate scenes was challenging. “I’m generally easygoing, but those romantic moments made me a little anxious,” she confessed, adding that while Danish exudes a strong presence on screen, off-camera he’s more of a softie.
Still, not everyone was amused. Social media users quickly responded, with many calling out the scenes as inappropriate. “This isn’t romance—it’s just indecency,” one person remarked. Others questioned Sahar’s choice of words, saying, “This isn’t charm, it’s just creepiness.” Some even went as far as mocking the pair, suggesting they both “need counseling.”
As Mann Mast Malang continues to draw attention, both admiration and backlash seem to be part of its growing buzz.
