Sardaar Ji 3 trailer has been released and contrary to previous rumors, Pakistani actress Hania Amir remains a part of Diljit Dosanjh’s film.
The recently released Sardaar Ji 3 trailer confirms Hania’s presence alongside Neeru Bajwa and Diljit himself, putting all speculation to rest.
In a surprising twist, Diljit Dosanjh has announced that Sardaar Ji 3 will only be released overseas. Initially expected to premiere in Indian cinemas on July 27, the film will now be available exclusively to international audiences. The decision was made to retain Hania Amir’s role while respecting India’s ongoing ban on Pakistani artists.
Despite earlier confusion—when Diljit appeared to deny Hania’s involvement—he was only addressing misleading images and not her actual participation. The trailer has now officially confirmed her role in the film.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had previously objected to the casting of Pakistani actors in Sardaar Ji 3. They even wrote to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) demanding a ban on the film’s release in India and warned that Diljit Dosanjh himself could face industry blacklisting.
Following these developments, Diljit made the announcement regarding the film’s international release, steering clear of local controversy while ensuring the project moves forward.
Sardaar Ji 3 is the latest installment in Diljit Dosanjh’s hit franchise. Known for its mix of comedy and fantasy, this edition features Diljit as a ghosthunter in the UK, with Neeru Bajwa and Hania Amir playing key roles.
By opting for an overseas-only release, the makers aim to preserve the film’s creative integrity while navigating political sensitivities surrounding cross-border collaborations.
