Ahead of its release, the movie Sardaar Ji 3 itself has already generated huge controversy. The trailer of the new movie was released on Sunday evening and soon went on to spark social media wrath, as the movie contains the presence of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir with Diljit Dosanjh.
Speculations trending on the web is that the team and cast had purposely kept Hania’s contribution a secret. As the Pakistani artists have been banned by the Indian film industry in the wake of the India-Pakistan war, now Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) is also reportedly deliberating placing a ban on Diljit Dosanjh as well as the producers of the film.
FWICE president BN Tiwari told India Today regarding the proposal of banning the actor cum singer Diljit Dosanjh.
According to the reports, FWICE is reportedly going to send an official notification stating that they are banning Diljit Dosanjh.
Tiwari told the publication, “None of their films and projects would be allowed to be released in India.” He added that there will be full cooperation from the Indian film industry.
When is Sadaar Ji 3 Coming?
According to Diljit’s post, “Sardaar Ji 3 Releasing 27th June OVERSEAS Only.”
So far, Diljit has not responded to the furor over Sadaar Ji 3. Upon seeing Diljit advertising his movie starring Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, a user tweeted on X, “While pakistani actors ban strictly in India, Diljit Dosanjh will be releasing a film with haniya amir in leading role. Really shame on you #diljitdosanj ????.”
Another said, “As a punjabi I am saying this Diljit Dosanjh has started to think he is above all. Never openly stands for issues of Punjab, now even betraying his own industry who gave him this fame.”
