Lahore security alert: According to the State Department of the country on Thursday, the Consulate General in Lahore, Pakistan, has instructed personnel to stay in place amid rumors of drone explosions, downed drones, and probable airspace incursions.
In a statement, the consulate noted it has also gotten early reports suggesting officials could be evacuating certain regions close to Lahore’s primary airport.
As the most recent confrontation between the two nuclear-powered countries escalated, Pakistan announced on Thursday that it had shot down 25 Indian drones in its airspace, while India claimed it had “neutralised” Pakistan’s attempt to involve military targets using drones and missiles.
Under recent developments, the local administration has instructed the people to keep their mobile locations off as under Lahore security alert.
