Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to former Pakistan women’s captain Sana Mir on her “historic” induction into the ICC Hall of Fame on Friday.
Details indicate that Mir called the premier. In recognition of the former Pakistan women’s captain’s skill, PM Shehbaz said, “Under your leadership, the Pakistan women’s team had clinched significant achievements and made the entire nation proud.”
The premier hoped Mir would make use of her experience by actively contributing to the growth of the new talent.
PM Shehbaz has promised to improve meritocracy in every sport. “The government wants to give men and women equal opportunities in all sports,” he stated.
Conversely, Mir had thanked the premier for recognizing her accomplishment. Mir had presented the ideas for improving women’s cricket even more.
Mir insisted, “Hopefully, the government will take measures to uplift cricket, particularly the women’s cricket.”
“I would do everything in my power to guarantee that Pakistan is represented as much as possible at the World Cricketers’ Association (WCA) and International Cricket Council (ICC),” Mir stated.
