Google scholarships: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced 30,000 Google Career Certificate Scholarships for students from 30 universities across the province.
The scholarship program was officially launched at a special ceremony in Sindh. The event marked an agreement between the Sindh government, Google, and Teach Valley. Speaking at the ceremony, CM Murad Ali Shah stressed the importance of investing in the youth. He said that providing scholarships is not just financial aid but an investment in their bright future.
Murad stressed that the initiative aims to empower young minds with advanced digital skills, opening new doors in the tech industry.
Under this program, students will receive training in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), and other cutting-edge digital skills. The goal is to prepare them for the global digital economy. These skills will help young professionals secure high-paying jobs and contribute to Pakistan’s technological advancement.
Sindh’s Education Minister praised the initiative. He highlighted that building a skilled talent pool is necessary for Pakistan’s digital economic growth.
Education Minister emphasized that this program will equip students with essential expertise to compete in today’s fast-paced, tech-driven job market. “The Sindh government is committed to bridging the gap between education and employment,” he added.
The IT Secretary of Sindh also shared his views. He described the Google Career Certificates Program as a game-changer.
“By introducing this initiative, Sindh is taking a significant step toward digital transformation. The government hopes to nurture innovation and create a workforce that is ready to tackle the challenges of the modern world”, IT secretary said.
