At least six individuals killed, including five females, when a tourist vehicle went into the Neelum River, sources reported.
Deputy Commissioner Neelum Nadeem Janjua said the accident happened in Neelum Valley’s Chilhana region where the bus went into the river and the lives were lost in this tragic accident.
The DC revealed that a child is still missing after the incident, and the authorities have initiated a search operation to find the missing person.
Rescue operations are in process, but the operation is being hindered by the rough terrain and depth of the ravine where the vehicle skidded.
Deputy Commissioner Janjua said that the challenging access to the location is creating barriers in retrieving the bodies and helping with the continued search for the missing child.
In another incident, at least three people killed, fours others injured as jeep fell into ravine in AJK’s Neelum valley.
According to details, the tragic accident took place on Neelum valley-Babon road, while the injured and dead bodies were transported to the nearby hospital.
Earlier, at least 23 dead, one injured as a coaster loaded with passengers fell into a gorge near the Azad Pattan Pana Bridge in Rawalakot.
According to Rawalakot Commissioner, the coaster was en route from Rawalpindi to Rawalakot when it was involved in the accident.
