LAHORE: SNGPL continued crackdown on gas pilferers in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad and disconnected another 377 illegal connections with Rs2 million fine imposed on the pilferers.
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 21 connections on illegal use of gas while another 25 on use of the compressor.
In Rawalpindi, the team disconnected 144 connections on illegal use of gas while another two on use of compressor and amount of Rs0.0200 million have been booked against gas theft cases.
During the operation in Islamabad, the SNGPL team disconnected 7 connections on illegal use of gas.
In Multan, 2 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 7 on use of compressor. The team also imposed fine of Rs0.0710 million against gas theft cases.
In Peshawar and Karak, the company disconnected 53 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal use of gas and also imposed fine of Rs1.8936 million against gas theft cases.
In Mardan, the team disconnected 12 connections on use of compressor.
In Sahiwal, three connections were disconnected on compressor use. In Faisalabad, 3 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 2 on use of compressor.
In Sheikhupura, 39 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 12 on use of compressor and fine amounting to Rs0.22 million was imposed on the pilferers.
In Bahawalpur the team disconnected 1 connection on illegal use of gas. The regional team of Sargodha disconnected one connection on illegal use of gas.
In Gujrat, the team disconnected 43 connections on illegal use of gas and amount of Rs0.04 million have been booked against gas theft cases.
