LAHORE: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 337 connections; Rs4.47 million fine imposed.
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 15 connections on illegal use of gas while another 11 on use of compressor and 1 FIR Lodged against gas thieve. The team also imposed fine of Rs 0.55 million against gas theft cases.
In Rawalpindi, the team disconnected 53 connections on illegal use of gas and amount of Rs0.35 million have been booked against gas theft cases.
In Multan, 12 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas while another 29 on use of compressor and 1 FIR Lodged against gas thieve. The team also imposed fine of Rs0.02 million against gas theft cases.
In Peshawar and Karak, the company disconnected 97 connections on account of direct use of gas and and 5 FIRs Lodged against gas thieves. The team also imposed fine of Rs3.27 million against gas theft cases.
In Bahawalpur, the regional team disconnected 49 connections on illegal use of gas while another 16 on use of compressor. The team also imposed fine of Rs0.22 million against gas theft cases.
In Sahiwal, 9 connections were disconnected on compressor use. In Faisalabad the regional team disconnected 2 connections on illegal use of gas while another 14 on use of compressor. The team also imposed fine of Rs0.03 million against gas theft cases.
In Sheikhupura, 30 connections were disconnected on illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 0.03 million booked against gas theft cases.
