Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a grand return to the silver screen after Dunki in 2025, with the much-anticipated film ‘King,’ directed by Sujoy Ghosh. What makes this project even more noteworthy is that it marks the big-screen debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan.
Currently in the pre-production stage, ‘King’ has already garnered attention for its high stakes and hefty budget. The makers, led by Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand, are sparing no expense to ensure that Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback is nothing short of spectacular. Exclusive reports reveal that the film is being made on a mega budget of Rs. 200 crores.
Describing ‘King’ as an ambitious action film, a source close to the production shared insights into the meticulous planning that has gone into the project over the past year. “The team has been working tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of the film, from script to scale and action sequences, is executed flawlessly,” the source stated.
Furthermore, Siddharth Anand, the director of the film, is in discussions with stunt directors from the West to bring a global appeal to ‘King.’ “Siddharth Anand aims to create a global action thriller, blending real action with cutting-edge visual effects. He is collaborating with international stunt experts to design mind-blowing sequences,” the source added.
‘King’ is scheduled to commence filming in May, with a projected duration of five months. Audiences can expect the action-packed extravaganza to hit theaters in the second half of 2025.
