Maulana Fazlur Rehman warns government on Thursday to stand with Iran and Gaza amid conflict, stating Pakistan’s turn will come if not supported.
Speaking to the National Assembly, the seasoned politician voiced serious worries about what he called the region’s Muslim countries’ increasing threat, especially those that are resisting Western and Israeli aggression.
Attacks have occurred in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and now Iran.
He described recent events as a “alarm bell” for Pakistan’s institutions and leadership, saying, “The enemies’ eyes are now fixed on Pakistan’s nuclear power.”
Maulana Fazl emphasized that “hostility to Islam” is the foundation of Jewish and Hindu unity worldwide and urged Pakistan to eliminate ambiguity in its foreign policy.
He compared the current state of affairs to the 1965 and 1971 wars between Pakistan and India, saying, “We stand with Iran, and we want the state of Pakistan to declare its support for Iran and Gaza.”
We were instructed not to reply back then as well. Iran is being prevented from defending itself today.
