The Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has ended its sit-in at Faizabad after reaching a settlement with the government on Friday.
The resolution was announced at a press briefing by Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and TLP leaders.
The agreement, formalized by Rana Sanaullah and Attaullah Tarar representing the government, and Dr. Shafiq Amini and Allama Ghulam Abbas Faizi on behalf of the TLP, includes several major commitments.
As part of the deal, Pakistan will officially classify the Israeli president as a terrorist and will advocate for similar recognition from the global community. The accord also demands urgent international intervention to address the situation in Palestine.
In response, the Pakistani government has pledged to deliver 1,000 tons of food and medical supplies to Palestine by the end of July, with continuous aid to follow. TLP representatives will oversee these aid shipments to Gaza, and Pakistan will provide comprehensive medical care to severely injured individuals from the region.
Additionally, the government has agreed to refrain from using products and services from companies that support Israel and will step up efforts to secure the release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, a notable advocate in Pakistan’s cause.
