US President Donald Trump declared both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire he announced hours earlier, and he was displeased with both countries, but especially unhappy with Israel.
Before departing for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump told reporters that Israel “unloaded” immediately after accepting the agreement.
He added that Iran no longer possesses nuclear weapons.
“The fact that Israel unloaded immediately following our agreement annoyed me. He told reporters, “They didn’t have to unload, and I didn’t like that the retaliation was very strong.”
“To be fair, Israel unloaded a lot, and from what I’ve heard, they simply left because they believed one rocket that failed to land violated their rights. We don’t want that.
Nearly immediately following the agreement, Israel began its strikes, according to Trump.
“Israel came out and dropped a ton of bombs, the likes of which I have never seen before, as soon as we made the deal. The largest load we have ever seen. I’m not pleased with Israel. “I’m also not pleased with Iran,” he remarked.
Before turning away from the cameras and making his way to his helicopter, he added that the two sides had been fighting “so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.”
After claiming that both Israel and Iran had broken a ceasefire he attempted to mediate, Trump said that Israel needed to calm down. “I need to calm Israel down now.”
Trump later warned Israel on his social media platform, Truth Social, that dropping any more bombs on Iran would violate the ceasefire he is attempting to mediate between the two nations.
