US President Donald Trump has once again praised Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, called him “an exceptional human being and an inspiring personality” during a press conference at the NATO summit in The Hague.
President Trump called the ceasefire between India and Pakistan a significant diplomatic victory during a press conference held Wednesday after the NATO summit in The Hague.
There was a genuine risk of nuclear war because both nations are nuclear-armed. However, I called a few people and stressed the value of trade,” Trump stated.
In a direct conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he added, he warned that if hostilities persisted, the United States would suspend trade talks.
“I made it very clear to Prime Minister Modi that I would halt trade if the war went on. We ended it that way,” Trump declared.
